Module Overview

From the report viewer, you can export reports in multiple formats, print them, or email them directly to colleagues. This module covers all the distribution options available for standard reports.

Export Formats

Click the format icons in the report toolbar to download the report in your preferred format.

💡 When to Use Each Format

Format Best For
Excel Further analysis, pivot tables, additional calculations
PDF Sharing final reports, printing, archiving
CSV Importing into other systems, data processing

Printing Reports

🖨️ Print Options

Click the Print icon to send the report to your printer. NetSuite automatically:

Emailing Reports

Email reports directly from NetSuite to share data with colleagues or external recipients.

📧 Email Report Steps

  1. Click the Email icon in the report toolbar
  2. You are automatically added as a recipient
  3. Add additional recipients under Copy Others or type email addresses
  4. On the Message subtab, add your email message
  5. Choose the attachment format:
    • Inline HTML — Report displays in the email body
    • Attachment — Report attached as Excel, PDF, CSV, or Word
  6. On the Attachment subtab, optionally attach additional documents
  7. Click Send

💡 Pro Tip

You can email reports to both internal NetSuite users and external recipients (like clients or vendors) by entering their email addresses directly. You can also attach additional files from your computer or the NetSuite File Cabinet.

Report Snapshots

Some reports are available as snapshots — static images that can be added to your Home dashboard.
