Three Ways to Access Reports

🔍 Method 1: Global Search

The fastest way to locate a specific report when you know its name.

  1. Click the Search field in the upper right corner of NetSuite
  2. Enter a search term or the report name (e.g., "Sales by Customer")
  3. Add the page: prefix to limit results to pages and reports
  4. Select the report from the list of results

💡 Example

To quickly find the Income Statement report:

page: income statement

This filters out transactions and records, showing only pages and reports matching your search.

📂 Method 2: Reports Menu

Navigate through the menu hierarchy to browse available reports by category.

  1. Click Reports in the main navigation menu
  2. Navigate to the desired report category (Financial, Sales, Inventory, etc.)
  3. Select the specific report from the submenu

📊 Method 3: Reports Dashboard

View all available reports and saved searches in one centralized location.

  1. Click Reports in the navigation menu (click the label itself, not the dropdown)
  2. The Reports Dashboard displays all reports you can access based on your role
  3. Reports are grouped by category
  4. Click Expand All to see all reports in each category
  5. Click any report title to open it

Creating Report Shortcuts

For reports you use frequently, create shortcuts to access them with one click.

📌 How to Create a Shortcut

  1. Open the report you want to shortcut
  2. Hover over the favorites icon (star) in the report header
  3. Select Add to Shortcuts
  4. Optionally check "Open in a new window" to open the report in a new tab when clicked
  5. Click Save
  6. Refresh your browser to see the shortcut in your Shortcuts portlet

💡 Pro Tip

Create shortcuts for reports you run daily, like Sales by Customer or Cash Flow. This saves navigation time and ensures you always have quick access to critical business data.
